Before storing your saree, make sure it is completely dry.

After wearing, gently air it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area for a few hours, particularly if it has been exposed to perspiration, perfume, or humidity.

Never store a damp saree.

Lay the saree on a clean, dry surface and fold it carefully.

• Avoid pressing the fabric excessively.
• Keep zari and decorative sections aligned neatly.
• Avoid creating very sharp creases.
• For long-term storage, change the folding pattern periodically to prevent permanent creases in the same areas.

When folding a saree with zari or intricate detailing:

• Handle it gently.
• Avoid rubbing or pulling the zari.
• Keep delicate zari sections from excessive friction.
• If desired, use a layer of soft, clean muslin or acid-free tissue paper between folds for additional protection.

Store your saree in a clean, breathable cotton or muslin saree bag.

Avoid airtight plastic covers for long-term storage, particularly in humid environments, as they can trap moisture.

Choose a storage space that is:

• Cool and dry
• Clean and well protected
• Away from direct sunlight
• Away from moisture and dampness
• Away from perfumes and chemicals
• Free from rough surfaces that could snag the fabric

Avoid placing heavy garments or objects directly on top of your saree.

For sarees kept in long-term storage, gently unfold and air them every 3–6 months in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

After airing, refold the saree using a different fold pattern before returning it to storage.
