What Not to Do
A Few Simple Precautions to Protect Your Saree
Your Kashi Vogue saree is designed to be cherished for years. A little care can help preserve its softness, colour, zari, and beautiful finish.
Please avoid the following:
- Do not machine wash your saree unless the specific product care instructions recommend it.
- Do not soak the saree in water or detergent.
- Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals, as they may affect the fabric and zari.
- Do not scrub or rub stains aggressively. Take delicate or stubborn stains to a professional cleaner.
- Do not iron directly on zari or embroidery. If ironing is necessary, use a low-heat setting and place a protective cloth between the iron and saree.
- Do not spray perfume, deodorant, or other fragrances directly onto the saree.
- Do not expose the saree to prolonged direct sunlight, as this may affect its colour over time.
- Do not store the saree while it is damp or moist. Always allow it to air out and dry completely before storing.
- Do not store it in plastic for long periods, particularly in humid conditions.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the folded saree.
- Do not use mothballs or strong chemicals directly against the fabric.
- Do not pull or tug loose threads. Have them professionally repaired if necessary.
Most Importantly
When in doubt, choose professional care over home treatment, especially for sarees with delicate zari, intricate detailing, or special finishes.
Always refer to the care instructions provided with your individual Kashi Vogue saree, as fabric and decorative details may vary.
Handle it gently. Store it carefully. Enjoy it for years.
